Each figment ID is hashed (FNV-1a) into a deterministic 5–8 rect composition on a transparent ground. Opacities vary, signal colors only, grid-snapped to the 20-unit sub-grid. No two figments look the same, and the thumbnail system scales without art direction.

Block art uses the signal palette exclusively — red, blue, amber, green. The reason is the same as the signal rule: the thumbnail is speaking the chassis language. A figment's identity is drawn in the system's voice, not outside it.
